Augmented reality
Augmented reality: a new window for connecting with your audience

New technologies such as augmented reality play an ever bigger role in people's lives, so capturing the public's attention undoubtedly depends on our ability to build them into our services.
Augmented reality is a highly efficient and useful tool for driving our projects forward, since it combines the real and virtual worlds to give the public innovative, surprising interaction with the product or service we offer.
At first, augmented reality can be confused with virtual reality, but there are important differences. While virtual reality immerses us in an entirely new world, augmented reality shows us the physical world with added elements that give people a new and very engaging experience of the product or service we show them on a phone or tablet. All without any specialist technology: just a phone or tablet.
IN EVERY SECTOR
Augmented reality is already used in very different sectors such as culture, education, medicine and fashion, although its possibilities are far broader. For example, when showing a product on a website or online shop, it lets users or potential buyers learn about its features, properties and how it works in a much faster, more detailed and more appealing way. By adding layers of visual information to the product image, augmented reality lets viewers interact with it on their phone or tablet in a highly innovative and attractive way.

Another very interesting area for augmented reality is culture and art. At REM Experience we have developed several augmented reality projects in this field with excellent results, such as recreating Grant Wood's painting ‘American Gothic’ or animating historical photographs of El Pla de Santa Maria. In this field, augmented reality opens a new window that lets people connect with art and culture in a way never seen before: an immersive, enriching experience that leaves no one indifferent.
Augmented reality can also extend the content of advertising in traditional print media such as newspapers, magazines and billboards. Taking users from analogue to digital generates new conversions and therefore a higher return on investment.
ADDED VALUE
Augmented reality is also added value for any company's reputation, projecting a modern, innovative image from the moment it is adopted. Sometimes companies don't know how to start integrating augmented reality into their projects. That is why REM Experience has an advisory department to help every company or organisation make the most of the benefits of this technology in the short term.

Several years ago the media were already pointing out how important augmented reality would soon become. An article on Foodretail.es notes that, according to the Retail Perceptions Report, 71% of online shoppers would buy more often from a retailer if they could try out products or services with augmented reality. Companies now know the benefits of augmented reality, and its adoption is growing fast. There is no doubt augmented reality will bring major changes to almost every sector. The possibilities are enormous: all you need is to set a goal and put your creativity to work.
