REM Experience creates an innovative classroom simulator for teachers

At REM Experience we have developed an innovative 3D simulator that marks a turning point for teachers. This pioneering tool lets teachers design their classrooms in a fully realistic and immersive way, without using physical materials and with every resource they need a click away. The simulator was launched in collaboration with SomDocents, the platform of courses recognised by the Government of Catalonia as ongoing teacher training, strengthening its commitment to educational innovation.

“The project responds to a growing need in education: creating interactive learning environments that strengthen key skills such as language, maths and technology, all within a framework of inclusion and equality,” explains Rubén Casado, head of New Technologies at SomDocents. With this 3D simulator, teachers can plan their classrooms, discover innovative materials and design specific activities, always aligned with their teaching goals.

“Imagine being able to plan your ideal classroom, try out different layouts, test new educational resources and discover how each space can boost your students' skills, all from your computer and without barriers,” Casado tells teachers. Thanks to this platform, teachers can learn, create and adjust their classrooms to day-to-day needs, always through an interactive experience.

The simulator, designed to make teachers' daily work easier, is also simple and intuitive. “It doesn't matter where you are: all you need is a computer and an internet connection to start creating your learning environments. Because it is optimised for WebGL, any teacher taking our Learning Environments course can use it straight from their browser, with no technical hassle,” Casado adds.

The simulator also offers early years and primary teachers a selection of materials and teaching ideas for each learning environment. “Teachers no longer have to worry about a lack of space or resources: here they can explore new ideas, organise their lessons and have everything ready to put into practice in real life. It is a tool designed so that trial and error becomes a fun, educational part of the process,” says the company's technology lead.

“With this new tool, SomDocents gives you the chance to transform learning in the classroom, making it more dynamic and suited to your students' needs, without wasting materials and making the most of your preparation time,” he adds.
